Hey all, today we are rolling a balance patch for VampireZ, available to play now in the Classic Lobby. Read on below for a full list of changes and additions or play it right now by clicking the Classic Lobby NPC, game menu icon, or using the command /lobby classic.

We felt it was necessary to introduce a party limit to tackle large Vampire and Survivor parties. We will monitor this change and adjust the limit as necessary.


Added a Human Kills leaderboard to the lobby, accessible via the leaderboard cycler.


Rewrote the lobby shop to improve the user experience.

This change includes displays for when you can afford perk upgrades, indicators when you have maxed a perk, not closing the menu after each upgrade purchase etc.


Lengthened the starting grace period from 19->20 seconds.


Added new rainbow colored chat prefixes for 15k+ Survivor Wins and 100k+ Survivor Kills.


Added total coins transferred in the current match at the bottom of the currency conversion menu icons.


Converting coins to currency will no longer automatically close the menu, making it easier to make multiple purchases at once.


Menu elements in both the Survivor and Vampire shop now show if you can currently afford the item or not.

The menu will also automatically update cleanly without flashing when you gain currency with it open.


Lowered the AFK Timeout period down to 3 minutes.


The Magic Books and their underlying system has been improved, making them easier to use and more balanced.

This change includes improved gear for visibility, tweaked effect radii, and increased casting times which makes decisions on when to cast and when to cancel casting to switch gear more consequential.


Both teams scoreboards will now display a counter of the number of members on that team, as well as the number of players on the opposing team.


The color of the Survivor, Vampire, and Zombie counts on the scoreboard has been changed to aqua to help them stand out more.

All Survivors will now spawn with an Iron Sword instead of a Stone Sword at the start of the match.


The last 3 remaining Survivors will now be given Regeneration II instead of Damage Resistance II.


Removed the ability to find a stack of 10 Holy Waters in Loot Chests.


Transfusion Perk chances reduced from 10->35->75% to 10->25->50%.


Purchases in the Survivor Shop will no longer automatically close the menu, making it easier to make multiple purchases at once.


Removed the spammy cooldown message when eating a Golden Apple.


Made some improvements to the tutorial messaging for new players.


All magic casters will now have a percentage chance to gain +1 Coin and Gold when a Survivor they are affecting gets a Vampire or Zombie kill.

This system has been in the game for some time but seems to have not been working correctly.
